Grade 6 Tallit Making Workshop

Sixth grade families will design and create beautiful and personal tallit. No sewing or crafting experience is needed. Everyone can do this and will create an amazing tallit!  This program is made possible by the generosity of TI members: Nancy Fried-Tanzer and Esta Lichtenstein

Materials Checklist

Please bring

• a spray bottle with water
• 2 very sharp scissors
• an 8in x 8in light cotton press cloth (something the weight of a 100% t-shirt)
• iron & ironing board
• ideas for your tallit: print simple designs like a star of David tree, dove, menorah, or anything that interests you.

TI will provide:

• fabric and tallit
• Hebrew stencils
• “wunder under”
• all the sewing
