Sunday, January 29, 11am-12pm
Join Rabbi Weiss and Rav Hazzan Ken for an interactive Tu Bishvat Seder.
Tu BiShvat is the “New Year of the Trees.” Originally Tu BiShvat was an agricultural festival, marking the emergence of spring. Rabbis living in Sfat, Israel in the 17th century created a ritual for Tu BiShvat similar to a Passover seder. In contemporary Israel, the day is celebrated as an ecological awareness day, and trees are planted in celebration.
