Dear Jordan,
We are so excited to welcome you to Kitah Bet/2nd Grade at Temple Israel of Natick! We are going to have a great time together. There will be days that you are having so much fun you won’t want to leave! Five things you can look forward to are:
2. Singing, dancing and crafts! (We both love to dance!)
3. Celebrating Jewish holidays
4. Learning about being Jewish
5. Spending time with your Jewish friends at Temple Israel
At the end of the year you will be able to read many Hebrew words and be able to sings lots of new prayers! You will have learned so much about Israel, that you will want to get on a plane to see it yourself!
In the spring, we’ll celebrate your learning with a ceremony called Kabbalat Siddur. You’ll share with your parents what you have learned! You’ll get some gifts! Your family will be so impressed! Most importantly you will be proud of yourself!

The 3 most important things about Kitah Bet are:
1. You feel proud of being Jewish
2. You feel connected to the other kids and teachers in our classroom
3. You enjoy being at Temple Israel.’
